Former Senator representing Bayelsa West in the National Assembly between 2003 and 2007, Senator John Brambaifa, is dead.
He was 81
Family sources said that the prominent politician died in Abuja on Saturday night.
He was said to be battling an undisclosed sickness for sometime before his death.
The source said, “It is true that we lost Senator Brambaifa on Saturday night. He had been sick and the sad incident took place in Abuja.”
Born in 1949, Brambaifa began his primary education in 1955 and continued his studies between 1962 and 1969 to obtain his Ordinary level and Advanced level certificates.
He also served in interim capacity as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
