Gunmen suspected to be terrorists and kidnappers on Sunday night attacked Kukyer and Kahir villages in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing 13 people, and kidnapping 28:
The also injured 10 others during the attack on wedding ceremonies in the areas.
A community member, identified Ms. Mafiana Yakubu first broke the news of the attack on social media.
According to her, the bandits stormed the celebration and opened fire indiscriminately on guests.
Another resident, David Yakubu, who compiled and released the names of the victims, called for urgent intervention by security agencies to prevent further bloodshed in the area.
According the him, those killed include: Douglas John, Ado Yakubu, Maikano Aribi, John Dan Asabe, Williams Luka, Bako Danjuma, Joseph Yakubu and Victor Peter.
Others are; Peter Williams, Dogara Markus, Francis Amadu, Zephaniah Alhaji and One unidentified victim.
Those injured are Micah Tanko, Fidelis Awuh, Samson Alhaji, Habila Bulus and Colonius Dauda, Lina Samaila, Bello Alkali, Felix Erick, Francis Tanko and Doctor Solomon.
Those taken on hostage during the incidence were identified as Tanko Makeri, Jummai Victor, Tanko Madaki, Beauty Marshal, Mariya Dominic, Awede Tanko and Patience Bitrus.
Others were Thadious Augustine, Salome Danladi, Ephraim Monday, Kande Monday, Lucky Monday and Lidiya Benjamin as well as Gambo Benjamin, Najirgi Yakubu, Danladi Kagarko, Daniel Shehu, Talatu Ibrahim, Dauda Markus, Peace Waziri and Tanko Waziri.
Others are Promise Waziri, Asami Dauda, Awuh Adams, Bulus Sunday, Chibi Emmanuel, Peace Luka and one unidentified victim.
The local said the attack has stirred serious fear across the community, with many calling for immediate and sustained security presence to prevent further attacks.
