Aiyedatiwa Appoints 1,000 Aides, Three Advisers, Commissioner-Designate in Ondo

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of 1,000 aides as part of efforts to strengthen his administration and improve engagement with residents across the state.

The appointments comprise 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants. The state government said the new appointments would support governance and service delivery across various sectors and communities.

The governor also appointed three Special Advisers to handle environment, rural and community development, and transport.

They are Abimbola Fajolu as Special Adviser on Environment, Ade Adeniyi as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development, and Muyiwa Ogunyemi as Special Adviser on Transport.

Aiyedatiwa also nominated Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba from Akoko North-West Local Government Area as Commissioner for Special Duties. Her nomination has been forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The appointments were announced on Thursday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

Among the 90 Senior Special Assistants appointed are Toyin Ogungbure, SSA on Women Mobilisation (South); Bidemi Obayangbon, SSA on Forestry; Gboluge Olufunmi Alex, SSA on Community Engagement (South); Akin Adeniyi, SSA on Community Engagement (Central); and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, SSA on Community Engagement (North).

Others include Kelvin Solomon, SSA on Students Affairs; Adeolu Iwakun, SSA on Volunteer Services; Samson Job Bazuaye, SSA on Oil and Gas; Fade Ojamomi, SSA on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation; and Sam Adepoju, SSA on Public Engagement.

Samad Orijeminiyi was appointed SSA on Scholarship, while Victor Omodara was named SSA on Grassroots Mobilisation and Abayomi Adefolalu as SSA on Photography.

The governor also appointed Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Nzuoma Egbulefu and Garba Goni as Senior Special Assistants on Non-Indigenes.

The state government said the appointments would broaden the administration’s reach and strengthen its relationship with communities and different sectors across Ondo State.

The appointments take immediate effect, while the commissioner-designate will assume office only after completing the required screening and confirmation process by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The government said the remaining names among the 90 SSAs and 910 SAs would be released subsequently.
