Controversial Crossdresser Okuneye Idris, alias Bobrisky, has been flown from Lagos to Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Network investigations revealed that the EFCC has admitted him into its clinic at Jabi following his complaints about ill health.
it was further gathered that operatives are waiting to grill him on his bribe allegation against the commission and its operatives
Bobrisky was removed from an Amsterdam bound KLM flight and detained by immigration officers late Thursday night while attempting to flee Nigeria.
It was gathered that Bobrisky was fleeing the country for UK when was picked up in the KLM flight to Amsterdam.
A source at the EFCC told the Network that the EFCC decided to arrest Bobrisky to give him the opportunity to confirm his bribe allegation against operatives of the commission.
There are indications that Bobrisky could face new charges from the commission.
The source said he could be charged for giving false information to the EFCC, and making false allegations against the commission’s operatives.
“We invited him severally, but he did not show up. He who alleges must be ready to prove. Those allegations are too weighty and cannot be allowed to slide.
“Recall that he has also refused to show up at the National Assembly on the matter. We are left with no other choice than to pick him up so that he can substantiate his claims. And that is what we have done.” The source said
Bobrisky had in a voice note, shared by a controversial social critic, Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, allegedly said he bribed EFCC officers with N15m to drop money laundering charges against him.
Bobrisky had shunned invitation from the House of Representatives and failed to respond to invitation extended to him by EFCC on the Matter.
