It was a sad for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC ), its Commandant in Edo State, Mr Agun Gbenga, reportedly slumped and died on Thursday.
The NSCDC Commandant died at a function held at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, off Airport road in Benin City, the state capital.
Sources said the Commandant slumped shortly after delivering his goodwill message at the event which was organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA).
It was learnt that immediate efforts made m to revive him failed and he was rushed to the Military Based Hospital, Benin where doctors confirmed him dead.
