The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Mr Benjamin Hundeyin, a Chief Superintendent of Police is set to take over as the new Force Public Relations Officer.
Hundenyin will take over from Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who has been redeployed to Delta State Command as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
Adejobi was recently elevated from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
Hundenyi, the vibrant police spokesman, with high reputation in the media has been spokesman of the Lagos State Command since 2022.
He was a member of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan.
The Network gathered that the police leadership has selected Hindenyin because of his track record and effectiveness as spokesman of the Lagos State Command.
Although, no official confirmation has been made, Hundeyin was at the Force Headquarters on the summons of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun on Thursday.
The outgoing Police Spokesman, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi did not pick the calls to his mobile telephone line.
