An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been found dead in Lagos.
The Network investigation revealed that the operative identified as Mr Sylvanus was found dead at Fadeyi bus stop area of the popular Ikorodu Road, Lagos on Sunday morning.
The Network gathered that concerned members of the public were able to identify him as an operative of the commission through his identity card.
A source at the Lagos Office of the Commission said that reports that he might have been killed might not be correct.
The source said that the body of the late operative did not show any cut or injury.
The source said that there is a high likelihood that he might have slumped due to hypertension.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr Dele Oyewale confirmed that the commission lost a member of staff in a telephone interview with the Network.
However, Oyewale was silent on the cause of death, saying the cause of death is being investigated.
