Eid-ul-Kabir: Ansar-Ud-Deen Urges Sacrifice, Unity and Compassion for National Growth

The National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, compassion and unity as the country marks the 2026 Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.

In his Eid message to Muslims and Nigerians at large, Kazeem said the celebration symbolises the faith, obedience and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, stressing that the values of selflessness and devotion remain essential for national peace and development.

He noted that the significance of Eid-ul-Kabir extends beyond ritual observances, describing it as a period for reflection on personal responsibility, justice and commitment to the common good.

According to him, many Nigerians are currently facing economic hardship, rising living costs and security concerns, urging leaders and citizens alike to respond with compassion, discipline and collective responsibility.

“Eid reminds us that sacrifice is not simply what we offer materially, but also what we surrender in the pursuit of righteousness, justice and the common good,” he stated.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen president said leaders at all levels must see public office as a trust that demands accountability, sacrifice and commitment to the welfare of the people.

He also urged citizens to reject corruption, intolerance and actions capable of undermining national unity and progress.

Kazeem emphasised the need for parents and guardians to instil sound moral values, discipline and education in younger generations, while encouraging religious and community leaders to continue promoting peaceful coexistence and moderation.

Addressing Nigerian youths, he urged them not to surrender to despair despite prevailing challenges in the country.
“Nigeria needs your creativity, innovation, enterprise and character. Remain committed to education, hard work and positive impact,” he said.

The senior advocate further called on privileged Nigerians to support widows, orphans, the elderly and other vulnerable groups during the festive season.

He stressed that Nigeria’s diversity should remain a source of strength rather than division, adding that justice, mutual respect and national unity were critical to the country’s future.

Kazeem also urged government at all levels to prioritise education, healthcare, youth empowerment, agriculture and job creation as pathways to long-term stability and development.

The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society president reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to faith, education, moral development and humanitarian service, noting that the society had continued to contribute to national development for more than a century.

He prayed for peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria, while wishing Muslims across the country a peaceful and rewarding Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
