Fire in the wee hours of Monday, has gutted Trademore, one of Abuja’s popular estate markets.
According to media reports, the fire started around 4am.
The exact cause of the inferno remains unclear at the time of reporting.
However, initial observations suggest it may have been triggered by an electrical fault or other accidental factors.
Men of the Federal Fire Service responded immediately to the scene, successfully extinguishing the flames after a two-hour operation.
Their swift intervention helped to prevent the fire from spreading further and minimized potential damage.
The incident has left many traders with huge losses, while residents have called for improved fire safety measures in markets across the area to prevent future occurrences.
