FORMER DEFENCE SPOKESMAN, GEN JEMITOLA SLUMPS, DIES IN ABUJA

A former Defence Spokesman, Major General Chris Jemitola (rtd), on Thursday collapsed and died at the IBB Golf Club, Abuja.

The Network gathered that Jemitola who also served at the ADC to former President Olusegun Obasanjo between 2003 to 2007 was rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed him dead.

The late Jemitola who was promoted Maj General in 2014, also occupied the prestigious position of the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) of the Nigerian Army.

Administratively the Chief of Policy and Plans is the second in hierarchy to the Chief of Army Staff.
