The Governor Rivers State, Sim Fubara, has appointed a veteran journalist, Mr Onwuka Nzeshi, as his new Chief Press Secretary.
Nzeshi who hails from Delta State was the Bureau Chief of the New Telegraph newspaper in Abuja.
He takes over from Mr Nelson Chukwudi, who was relieved of his job without any announcement.
The new Chief Press Secretary is among the most senior hands covering the National Assembly, politics and playing a supervisory role over reports from the Villa as the Bureau Chief.
Nzeshi’s was announced in the first statement he signed on Thursday night on behalf of Governor Fubara which announced the dissolution of the State Executive Commuttee.
There are high expectations that Nzeshi would bring to bear his vast experience as a journalist to boost the media team of the Rivers State Governor.
