Fresh indications have emerged that the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, did not storm out of the APCGovernorship Screening In Abuja.
The Network gathered from authoritative sources that the Governor was screened and asked to bow and go.
The top Rivers State Government official who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that the members of the committee were fast with the screening of the Governor.
The source said, “It is not true that the Governor stormed out of the venue. The report did not capture what transpired at the screening.
“The fact is that the Governor couldn’t speak with the journalists when he left. He must have been in a hurry.
“The man was screened. As a sitting Governor, what will they require from him? He presented his documents and was cleared and asked to go.”
Fubara arrived at the Plateau Governor’s Lodge, venue of the screening, at about 3 p.m. but left the session less than 30 minutes later without granting post screening interview.
It was learned that Fubara who was obviously in a hurry said “no comment” when he was approached by political reporters.
