A gospel singer, Mr Timileyin Ajayi, has been reportedly arrested with the severed head of his lover in a community in Nasarawa State near Abuja.
The culprit was said to be apprehended in boundary community between Nasarawa State and the Federal capital territory.
A video of the sad incident showed that the singer was caught by some members of the public with the lady’s head in a sack.
Also a Facebook user identified as Umaru Caleb, said that those wjo apprehended the suspected killer were church members.
He posted the incident on Sunday on his official Facebook page.
According to him, another member of the church felt a strong urge to intercept the suspect walking past and demanded to see what he was carrying in the sack.
Upon looking inside, he saw the freshly cut head of a beautiful lady who had just done what the women call ‘million braids’.
The church member raised an alarm and other church members trooped out.
The suspect was beaten and interrogated about how he came about the head and reportedly said the deceased was his girlfriend who had come to visit him from a far place.
Ajayi also claimed the remaining part of the body was in his house.
However, the police were called to take him away.
Caleb in his post said, “ I got the shock of my life as we apprehended a Yahoo ritualist with human head (his girlfriend) inside a nylon close to our church as we were holding service.
“I thought I just used to watch things like this until I experienced one “Live” today.
“And this guy said the remaining body of the girl is still in his house.
“God have mercy on this generation
“You can see a video of where the head of the fair-complexioned lady was brought out of the bag below”.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Abuja said the crime did not take place in Abuja.
The Spokesperson of the FCT Command SP Josephine Adeh said that no such report was received from Orozo, saying the incident might have happened in Nasarawa State.
