Gunmen Abduct Retired AIG’s  wife in Ogun

Armed men suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly kidnapped the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.

The incidence which place at about  9pm on Thursday,was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Command in a statement on Friday.

According to the Ogun State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, Mrs. Odumosu  was abducted by four masked men who attacked her, pulled her out of her Lexus Jeep, and drove away to unknown destination, Thursday night.

Odutola stated that information was received regarding the kidnapping of Mrs Odumosu, resident of Aminu Street, Arepo.

She maintained from available reports the ex-AIG’s wife  was at the point of  entering her apartment when four masked men surrounded her, dragged her from her jeep and took her through the swamp to an unknown location.

“The divisional police officer has led a team of policemen to the scene where they are currently searching for the swampy bush area.

The police said the local chiefs of Warewa and Maaba had been approached to deploy local security outfits to assist in the search effort.

He added that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has been briefed, and all covert operations have been deployed to assist with digital intelligence to ensure she is rescued unhurt.
