I will Never Join Politics Even if Given  $1bn – Bishop Oyedepo

By Kamsi Anayo, Awka

Renowned cleric, Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has completely ruled out partisan politics from his life.

The  respected Cleric stressed that the just concluded Shiloh 2025 programme  at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland in Ota, Ogun State, he can never partake in politics  even if given $1 billion.

Addressing thousands of worshippers, he emphasized prioritizing divine callings over worldly pursuits.

“Partisan politics is off my calling. Even if you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t,” he stated, urging believers to emulate biblical icons like Joseph and Daniel who shaped nations without holding office.

Oyedepo reflected on past prophecies, recalling his 2015 warnings to the church about Nigeria’s looming troubles, which he said have since unfolded.

He stressed that true influence stems from spiritual alignment amid global unrest, not electoral contests.

This stance aligns with his longstanding separation of ministry from politics, even as church leaders face pressures in Nigeria’s polarized landscape.

The declaration, reported widely by different outlets underscores Oyedepo’s focus on kingdom advancement.

With Nigeria eyeing future polls, his words serve as guidance for congregants, reinforcing non-partisan faith engagement.

As Shiloh draws to an end, Oyedepo’s message resonates, prioritizing eternal purpose over temporal power in turbulent times.
