The Kano State Police Command has recognised Hajia Hajara Abdullahi for renovating and furnishing the Gwale Police Division in Kano metropolis.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, presented a letter of appreciation to Abdullahi on Monday at the command headquarters, praising her contribution to improving the working environment for police officers.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, the philanthropist had also provided material and moral support to other police divisions across the state.
“The gesture by Hajiya Hajara represents a significant contribution to community security. She has consistently supported various Police Divisions across the State with material and moral assistance aimed at improving the operational environment for officers and enhancing service delivery to the public,” the statement partly read.
Bakori described Abdullahi as a valuable partner in policing and commended her commitment to the safety and welfare of her community.
He said, “Such acts of generosity directly impact crime prevention, officer morale, and public confidence in the police.”
The commissioner also prayed for blessings upon the philanthropist, asking Almighty Allah to replenish her wealth and reward her for supporting peace and security efforts in Kano.
The Special Adviser on Community Policing, Hajiya Maimuna Umar Sheriff, also praised Abdullahi’s intervention, describing it as an example of how residents can support government and security agencies.
Sheriff urged individuals, corporate organisations and community leaders to contribute to security efforts across the state.
“Sustainable security can only be achieved through collaboration between government, security agencies and the community,” she added.
