The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned a former Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku over an alleged N27 billion fraud.
The Network gathered that the anti draft agency has slammed not less than 15-count charges on him.
The EFCC had on Friday arrested and quizzed the former Governor over a twenty-seven billion fraud during his time as governor of the state.
Ishaku, was governor of the State from 2015 to 2023 and was arrested in the early hours of Friday at residence in Abuja.
A source in the commission said Ishaku has been under covert investigation over financial crimes since he left office as the State governor.
He was detained when he could not provide satisfactory explanations to financial impropriety alleged to have happened under his watch.
Ishaku’s arrest is coming on the heels of ongoing face-off between the commission and the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, who was said to have stolen N80.2bn.
