Niger State governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has given official car gifts to members of the House of Assembly, Commissioners, Judges, the Chief Imam of the state, the state CAN Chairman, and Security Service Chiefs.
The Governor also announced a N20,000 wage allowance to all civil servants at the state and local government levels and scholarship of N2 billion to Niger state students in tertiary institutions across the state.
Bago who disclosed this at the end of the town hall meeting with stakeholders held in Minna on Thursday said it was part of his appreciation to the people of the state for making the state peaceful and being supportive.
He also announced that 50 patrol vehicles will be shared among the security agencies in the state while the student unions will be given a bus each.
The governor further said that civil servants are eligible to take grains on credit which they can repay in four months.
He urged everyone in the state to remain peaceful and pray for the state and the government while supporting government programmes and policies
