A Delta State court has ordered the remand of content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, over allegations surrounding the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.
The remand order was granted on Friday, September 4, 2026, following the hearing of an application brought before the court.
A lawyer representing Favour Agbro’s family, Awele Ideal, disclosed the development in a social media post on Friday, stating that Ogbonna had been taken to the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre.
The development came shortly after the autopsy and toxicology reports relating to the case were made available to the police investigation team.
Awele said the forensic reports, alongside other evidence gathered by investigators, had been incorporated into the investigation report being prepared for prosecution.
“Today, the 4/9/2026, the application to remand Mr Ifeanyi Ogbonna (Odogwu Asaba) was heard and granted by the court. He has now been remanded at the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre,” she said.
The lawyer said the investigation report would form part of the materials to be considered as the case proceeds to prosecution and trial.
According to her, Ogbonna would be brought before the court as proceedings continue, while the Ministry of Justice, through the Attorney-General and Director of Public Prosecutions, would handle the next stage of the prosecution.
Ideal said she would continue to represent Favour’s family and provide updates on the case as proceedings progress.
Ogbonna remains an accused person, and the allegations against him have yet to be determined by the court.
