The Ondo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday Confirmed 15 Commissioner Nominees, with exception of one.
The nominees, who underwent thorough screening by the House’s Selection Committee, were declared competent, experienced, and well-equipped to serve in their respective portfolios.
The confirmed commissioners are:
Mr Sunday Olajide,Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Mr Olaolu Akindolire, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, Dr. Seun Osamaye
and Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu
Others are Mr Ayodele Akande Dr. Tob Loko, Mr Idowu Ajanaku, Mr Johnson Alabi, Mr Segun Omoyofunmi, Mr Bola Ademuwagun, Mr Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Ajaka and Mr Adesoji Afolabi
Ololade Gbegudu, Deputy Speaker, presenting the committee’s report during plenary, praised the nominees for their wealth of experience and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development agenda.
Speaker Olamide Oladiji, while congratulating the nominees, urged them to work closely with Gov. Ayedatiwa to ensure effective governance and the delivery of dividends of democracy to Ondo residents.
He said that the 16th commissioner nominee , Mr Ayorinde Olawoye was unavoidably absent and would be confirmed at a later date.
