The authorities in Finland have arrested the self acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Simon Ekpa for offenses related to terrorism.
The BBC also reported that the authorities also picked up four other persons for terrorism related offences.
It was reported that Finnish National Bureau of Investigation arrested Ekpe and the rest.
Ekpa the other four were said to have committed the crime in 2021 in Lahti municipality.
According to BBC, Ekpa was sent to prison by the district court of Päijät-Häme for “spreading terrorist propaganda on social media.”
