Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, has forwarded the names of 18 commissioner-designates to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Franklin Osankwa, the Senior Adviser on New Media, Office of the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly (ANHA) made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday in Awka.
The nominees and respective portfolios are as follows: Agriculture — Dr. Ben Chuks Odoemena; Budget and Economic Planning — Mr. Chukwukadibia Okoye, FCCA; Culture, Entertainment and Tourism — Mr. Udoji Amedu; Education — Dr. Ekene Ogugua and Environment — Dr. Clem Aguiyi
Others are Finance — Mr. Izuchukwu M. Okafor, Health — Dr. Afam Obidike; Information and Value Reorientation — Dr. Law Mefor; Justice/Attorney-General — Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN; Lands — Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN; Local Government and Community Affairs — Barr. Vin Ezeaka; Petroleum and Mineral Resources — Prof. Charles Ofoegbu; Physical Planning and Urban Development — Barr. Chijioke Oseloka Ojukwu; Power — Engr. Casmir Chinenye Agummadu; Works and Infrastructure — Arc. Okey Ezeobi; Transport — Hon. According to the statement, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze, received the list of nominees from the Governor during Tuesday’s plenary session.
The Speaker subsequently referred the nominees to the House Committee on Screening and Electoral Matters for further legislative action.
