President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other security agencies to intensify operations in Kaduna State following the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area.
The President ordered security agencies to track down those responsible for the attack, rescue abducted victims and restore peace to the affected communities.
Tinubu gave the directive on Tuesday while condemning the attack, which reportedly claimed about 30 lives, including women and children, and left several houses destroyed.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the assault as a “barbaric and cowardly” attack on innocent citizens and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
He warned that criminal elements seeking to undermine the relative peace and improved security situation in Kaduna State would face the full weight of the law.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” Tinubu said.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture through sustained investment in security infrastructure and operational capacity.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he added.
Tinubu also extended his condolences to the families of those killed, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, the state government and residents affected by the tragedy.
He assured the grieving communities of the Federal Government’s support, stressing that efforts to combat insecurity across the country would be sustained.
The President further appealed to residents to support security operations by providing timely and credible intelligence that could assist in identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he said.
Tinubu reiterated that protecting lives and properties remains a top priority of his administration, assuring Nigerians that ongoing operations to dismantle criminal networks would continue across the country.
The directive follows the deadly attack on Naridon Village, where armed assailants reportedly killed about 30 people, including women and children, injured several others and razed homes, triggering renewed concerns over security in Southern Kaduna.
