Tribune’s Abuja Bureau Chief, Dr Leon Usigbe is Dead

Journalists accross Nigeria have been thrown into mourning by the sudden death of the Bureau Chief of Tribune, in Abuha, Dr Leon Habby Usigbe.

Dr Usigbe, a versatile journalist was also the Tribune Correspondent in charge of the Presidential Villa until his death.

The Network gathered that the journalist took ill on early in the week and was taken to the Aso Hospital Abuja.

A journalist who accompanied the late journalist to the hospital said that he was diagnosed with blood clot which sadly led to his death. 

The source said the journalist was treated and discharged and was recuperating at home when he fell into coma.

 He was said to be in coma for two days before his death on Friday.

He was a great journalist who handled major political beats for Tribune in Abuja. He was also the Political Correspondent in charge of the People’s Democratic Party when it was in power.  

Journalists and his colleagues who are obviously shocked and pained by his death have besieged the social media platforms to mourn the great journalist.
