A veteran journalist and former state correspondent on the PUNCH, Mr Stanley Yakubu is dead.
His daughter Sandra confirmed his death to journalists in Kaduna said that he died in his sleep.
He had earlier lost the wife ten years ago.
The daughter said that the Taraba born journalist started having health challenges after the death of the wife.
According to her, he suffered stroke which worsened over time leaving to his death.
Yakubu was correspondent of the PUNCH in Adamawa, Sokoto and Yobe state where he reported under the defunct NEOFEAD Desk.
His colleagues in the PUNCH and other organizations are shocked by the death of the reporter as they condole with his immediate family.
Many describe him as a committed reporter who did his best for the journalism profession.
