Indications have emerged on why the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested popular media personality and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, (VeryDarkBlackMan.)

VeryDarkBlackMan Blackman was picked up by operatives of the anti graft agency within the premises of Guarantee Trust Bank in Abuja.
There were media reports that the popular media personality was arrested in connection with his criticism of the bank over alleged unauthorized transactions from his mother’s account.
However, Network gathered that VDM is being held at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja for reasons beyond criticism of the bank.
It was learnt that he may have been picked up in connection with a pending invitation on the Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky bribe saga where made some allegations.
The Network gathered on good authority that VDM was expected to appear at the Commission’s headquarters on April 16, but did not honour the invitation.
VDM and the EFCC have been on a collision course when he alleged that operatives of the anti graft agency collected bribe from Bobrisky.
In the recent past VDM had said that 90 percent of EFCC operatives are corrupt which the commission seems to have taken seriously.
The EFCC, it was learnt, wants VDM to identify the personnel of the commission who were alleged to have received bribe from the controversial cross dresser.
VDM had earlier stated in a post on his busy social media handle that he was going to the GTB in company of his mother to correct alleged unauthorised transactions from her mother’s account.
“Myself and my mom just arrived GT-BANK to get an explanation for the constant debit from her account from gt bank in the name of loan repayments that she never took,in this year alone see the amount of time she has been debited with different amounts,we have requested her bank statements so we know when they debiting started so far.
In this year alone there have been more than 7 debits on loan repayments, GT BANK STAFF ARE COOPERATING,hopefully we know why they keep doing this.” He wrote.
The Network could not get the Head of Media and Publicity to confirm the story as the calls to his mobile telephone line did not connect.
