The convener and patron of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-PBAT Door-to-Door Movement 2027 for Tinubu/Shettima, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo Tompolo, has appealed to Nigerians to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu another chance and re-elect him in 2027.
He acknowledged that the President had chosen a difficult path by introducing economic reforms, including the removal of the fuel subsidy, for the greater good of Nigerians.
The Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, who spoke during the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, also donated 25 vehicles to the campaign team to support its political activities in the state.
Tompolo, who was represented by Chief Kestin Pondi, said the initiative was intended to complement Governor Hyacinth Alia’s efforts to campaign for President Tinubu in Benue State.
He identified other interventions by the Tinubu-led administration as including the approval of local government autonomy, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for undergraduates, the electricity law enabling states to generate and regulate electricity, and the approval for the establishment of state police to strengthen security.
Tompolo also acknowledged Governor Alia’s road infrastructure projects in Benue, describing his achievements as evidence of good leadership. He urged the public to mobilise grassroots support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Alia.
He promised to provide the necessary funds for the movement in the state, saying it would take the Renewed Hope message to the grassroots and describing the mobilisation as an investment in the future.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the movement, Sunday Asuku, called on Nigerians to give President Tinubu another opportunity, citing the reforms and leadership approach of his administration.
Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, also called for the re-election of President Tinubu and himself in 2027, acknowledging the President’s support for his administration.
He vowed to deliver more projects for the people, saying his administration would intensify development efforts if he and President Tinubu were re-elected in 2027.
The governor, who acknowledged President Tinubu’s support for his government, said the movement’s door-to-door campaign strategy was designed to take their message to every household and community across the country.
He highlighted achievements of the Tinubu administration in various sectors, including education, infrastructure and security, which he said required sustained support in the forthcoming general elections.
Some stakeholders, including former Benue State Governor and Senator Gabriel Suswam, said the Alia administration was benefiting from the President’s support, stressing the need to sustain the relationship to consolidate ongoing policies.
Earlier, the Benue State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Maurice Uwough, pledged massive grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia in 2027.
He appreciated the movement’s National Convener, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his vision and commitment to mobilising support for President Tinubu. He also commended Governor Alia for his commitment to grassroots mobilisation and the development of Benue State.
The state coordinator assured the audience that the movement would take the message of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to every ward, community and household in the state.
