Gunmen suspected to be terrorists have invaded a community in Zamfara State, killing one person and Kidnapped two others.
The current situation has raised fresh concerns about the safety of residents in rural areas.
It was learnt that the incident occurred during night hours of Monday in Ruwan Doruwa community, Maru Local Government Area, as revealed by a security analyst, who said that circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear, including the identity of the deceased and whether security operatives engaged the attackers during the incident.
The latest attack adds to the security concerns facing communities in Maru and other parts of the area, where armed groups have continued to carry out deadly assaults and abduct residents.
However, details of any ongoing rescue operation or measures to track down the perpetrators were not immediately available.
