The Justice Wilfred Kpochi-led Edo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has announced the relocation of its sitting from Benin City to the National Judicial Institute, NJI, in Abuja, from Jan. 27.
This was communicated in a notice placed on the door of the Tribunal in Benin City on Friday.
The relocation notice was signed by the Secretary, Ibrahim Mu’azu Bagudu.
No reasons were officially given for the relocation.
However, this may not be unconnected with recent security issues around the Tribunal sittings in Benin City.
