BREAKING: Senate Declares Edo Central Senatorial Seat Vacant Following Governor Okpebholo’s Election

By Joy Yesufu

The Senate has officially declared the Edo Central Senatorial seat of former Senator Monday Okpebholo vacant.

This decision was made on Wednesday, following Okpebholo’s election and inauguration as the Governor of Edo State in November.

In light of this vacancy, the Senate has called upon the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to organize a bye-election to fill the position.

This move marks a significant step in maintaining the representation of the Edo Central constituency in the Senate.
