Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was on Tuesday barred from entering the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
The suspended Senator rode in a black Toyota Land Cruiser while prominent activist, Aisha Yesufu, who accompanied her ride in another car in front of her.
However, security operatives stopped the two cars at the National Assembly promoting the Senator and her entourage to disembark from the vehicles to continue on foot to the National Assembly.
When asked by journalists about her comments on her resumption after months of suspended she simply says “I am happy to be alive.”
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has yet to release an official statement on the incident.
Efforts to reach the National Assembly security authorities for comments were unsuccessful, and no clarification has been issued by the Senate leadership.
