•••ADVISES IJAWS AGAINST FIGHTING WIKE
The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) has said that suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, would return to his office.
Tompolo spoke while addressing a large crowd at Oporoza, Gbaramatu Community of Warri South West Local Government Area during his 54 birthday celebration on Friday.
The influential former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta who wields massive influence in the region and celebrated among the Ijaws also used the occasion to plead with angered Ijaw people not to fight the FCT minister.
A large number of Ijaw people are angered by the invectives poured on the Ijaw nation by the FCT during a press conference last month in Abuja.
Tompolo who was reacting for the first time to the suspension of the Rivers State Governor advised Ijaw people to talk to Wike on his disagreement with Fubara.
The Tantita boss who described Wike as his friend recalled that Ijaw people made Wike governor while Wike without the assistance of any Ijaw person made Fubara Governor of the state.
He advised that the Ijaw people should bring Wike and Fubara together.
Tompolo assured the Ijaw nation that he cannot betray his people for whatever reason.
He said, “…Even our son in River State (Fubara) will return as Governor. He will come and sit on the throne…
I want to tell you one story,
I want to tell the Ijaw nation that Wike is my friend. And when he made this man Governor, no Ijaw man was there, no ijaw man supported Wike to do it.
As we are here, we should stand for the truth…
So we ijaw people should not be angry. No matter how Wike insults us, we are the same people that install Wike as Governor of Rivers State.
“Now that he is in conflict with this our son, we should talk to him. We need to dialogue in the father and son relationship. We should bring them together.
Even as you have not heard from me, you should know that I cannot betray our people. There is nothing for me to betray ijaw people.
“And any time ijaw people are standing, we will always have the victory.”
