Faudiya School in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State was Friday invaded by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents killing three students and injuring one.

Faudiya School belongs to the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), a Shiia sect in Nigeria.
According to sources, the assailants invaded Hausari quarters in Geidam LGA around 3:44am, on Friday when the victims were sleeping.
“The incident occurred at around 3:44 am, when the gunmen invaded Faudiya School a well-known Shiite school in Geidam.”
“They (gunmen) attacked the school when these youth were asleep and brought them outside and shot them dead.
“There is tension and concern in the town after this incident. People are terrified over this unfortunate incident,” he said.
Another source from the vigilantes command said that three members of Shiia sect were killed while one sustained injuries.
“We don’t know who they (gunmen) are but, all we knew is that they killed three students in the school. One person who tried to escape during the incident was injured and he has been hospitalized,” He said.
Confirming the incident, Yobe State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, said the terrorists attacked the Islamic school at 4:00 PM, arriving on ten motorcycles armed with AK-47 rifles. The school is affiliated with the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), commonly known as the Shiites.
“Upon receiving a distress call, police units in Geidam rushed to the scene and found that three students had been killed and one other injured,” Abdulkarim stated.
The injured student was subsequently evacuated and transported to Geidam Specialists Hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased students have been identified as Muhammadu Saleh (22), Ahmed Abdulrahman (21), and Abdullahi Adamu (21), while the injured student is Sani Haruna (25).
This incident underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in northeastern Nigeria, as the region continues to grapple with violent attacks from insurgent groups.
