A helicopter suspected to belong to the military has crashed in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
There are fears that there are no survivors in the crash.
There are reports that the helicopter suddenly came down in a swampy terrain opposite the Naval Base in the town.
The local government chairman, Maurice Oripelaye, confirmed the sad incident to journalists though he could not provide details.
He confirmed that while military gear was found at the crash site, he couldn’t ascertained the number of personnel who were on board the chopper which got burnt to rubble.
