The Kaduna State Police Command, on Friday summoned the senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Lawal Adamu Usman over allegations of threat to life and false claims levelled against him by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
The formal invitation was contained in a letter signed by the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, Rabiu Muhammad.
The invitation further followed a petition submitted by Governor Sani through the state Ministry of Justice, accusing the Senator of making false and injurious statements capable of inciting unrest and undermining peace and security in the state.
With this letter, Senator Lawal Adamu is expected to appear before the CP at the Command headquarters on Monday, September 1, to respond to the allegations.
The invitation letter reads in part: “Re-threat to life, false and injurious allegations against His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
“You are kindly requested to appear in person before the commissioner of police, Kaduna State Command, on Monday, 1st September, to respond to allegations,” the letter reads
