Two persons have reportedly died and two others badly injured following armed robbery attacks on resident and commuter in Kwara State.
The Kwara Police Command which confirmed the incidence on Friday, said two victims were killed in during ab armed robbery and culpable homicide incident.
The Kwara State Command Police spokesman , SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the ugly development in a statement in Ilorin on Friday, said it happened at about 06:30pm on Thursday, 28th August, 2025, along the Rore/Arandun highway, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, a gang of armed robbers had on Thursday night invaded the residence of a businessman, identified as Mr. Oyetoyan Dare, during which his private security guard, Mr Wale Ajiboye, aged 40, was fatally shot as he was trying to prevent them from having access into the residence.
The PPRO further informed that the same armed gang ambushed a vehicle carrying farm produce from Ora in Osun State and at the same time shot at the driver, Mr Taiye Yebi, aged 38.

According to him, another passenger sustained a minor injury.
Ejire-Adeyemi explained that police operatives recovered expended and live ammunition from the scene.
He stated further that corpses of the deceased were evacuated and deposited at the mortuary while investigations has commenced.
The PPRO quoted the Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, to have directed a discreet investigation and reinforced patrols within the area to forestall reoccurrence.
