Kingsley Chinda, a member of the house of representatives, has officially defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
China, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling party in Rivers State also resigned his position as the minority leader.
The defection letter was dated April 23, 2026.
Tajudeen Abbas, speaker of the house, read Chinda’s resignation letter during Tuesday’s plenary.
