Gunmen suspected to herdsmen have killed five farmers in Ajegunle Powerline Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Network gathered that the victims are farm labourers from Plsteau and Nasarawa States.
It was gathered that the heinous act was perpetrated around 3pm on Tuesday by the gunmen who had earlier destroyed crops on the farm.
A survivor of the attack said that the gunmen appeared suddenly and started attacking farmers killing the five of them.
The source said that the attacks on farmers in the area have become rampant leading to disruption of farm activities in the area.
The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, CSP Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident but did not give further details.
