Controversial Nigerian relationship influencer, Blessing CEO, has confirmed the death of her son, Bryan Onyedikachi, while denying authorising anyone to solicit financial assistance on her behalf.
Blessing, who is currently in custody, reportedly lost her second son while undergoing the process of securing her release on bail.
The development was announced publicly on Friday evening by Amira Agiye, Chief Executive Officer of the Isaamira Foundation, who also appealed for financial assistance for Blessing.
However, Blessing has distanced herself from the fundraising effort, saying she did not authorise Agiye to announce her son’s death or solicit funds on her behalf.
Actress Doris Ogala disclosed Blessing’s position after a telephone conversation with her, which she subsequently shared.
According to Ogala, Blessing said she was unaware of Agiye’s activities and had not asked her to raise money.
Ogala said: “Please oo, if you have donated money, go and collect your money back from that lady. Blessing says she doesn’t know the lady. She didn’t ask her to raise money for her.”
Ogala also disputed claims that Blessing was seeking N56 million to meet her bail conditions, describing the fundraising appeal as fraudulent.
In the recorded telephone conversation, Blessing confirmed that she had not authorised anyone to solicit funds on her behalf.
“I didn’t give anybody consent. And I think I’m in the best position to break the news of my son’s death, not an entire stranger,” she said.
Blessing’s comments came amid reports of efforts to complete her bail conditions.
The circumstances surrounding her son’s death and the fundraising appeal were not independently established in the information available for this report.
The development has since generated reactions online, particularly over who was authorized to announce the death and solicit financial assistance on Blessing’s behalf.
