Former Managing Director of Concorde Newspaper, and wife of Chief MKO Abiola, Dr Doyin Abiola is dead.

According to sources, the eminent journalist who was the first female editor of a national daily passed on at the age of 82 on Tuesday.
She was said to have died at 9:15 am on Tuesday after battling illness
She worked briefly with the Daily Sketch Newspaper on graduation before leaving for the United States for a Master Degree programme in journalism in 1970.
The prolific write returned to Nigeria and later joined the Features Desk of Daily Times where she rose to become the Group Features editor.
In 1979, she went back to United States where she obtained a PhD in Communications and Political Science
She was appointed editor of the National Concord, by MKO Abiola, as its pioneer daily editor.
She rose to became Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief in 1986.
