The leader of the defunct Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, has described the planned August 1 nationwide protest as a call to anarchy and indeed a coup against the Tinubu-led Federal Government.

Dokubo called on those who have the interest of the Niger Delta at heart not to participate in the planned protest.
The former leader of the NDPVF made the comment while speaking at the NDDC Executive Management Engagement with Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders and Selected Stakeholders themed, “Let Is Build Together”, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Tuesday.
Dokubo said that even the ten-point agenda of the organizers of the protest excludes the people of the Niger Delta whose resources are the focus in the issue.
He urged those talking about the planned protest to note the devastation that rocked erstwhile beautiful countries like Somalia, Libya, Venezuela and Liberia and have a rethink.
He stressed that the ten-point demands of the protest organizers shows that it is not meant to be peaceful.
“Look let me tell you. Don’t pretend about it, it will be good for you to visit Liberia, Libya, Venezuela, Somalia, and ask those people.
“I was in Libya. I was a friend a Ghadafi. Libya was paradise, today Libya is hell fire. 90 percent of those who led the attack Ghadafi are dead.
This is not a peaceful process. It is a call to anarchy.
“Have you read the ten point demand? Have you read the ten point demand? A change of government! A change of constitution! Is that a call for good governance? This is a call to anarchy. This government will not fail.”
Dokubo who said that President Tinubu won the last election against all odds advised politicians to wait for the next election to unseat him through constitution means.
